The adoption of Visa Secure, particularly with its use of the 3-D Secure 2.0 protocol, aims to reduce fraud and increase consumer confidence in digital payments by ensuring that transactions are authenticated and secure. This system not only protects the cardholder but also benefits merchants by reducing the likelihood of fraudulent chargebacks and improving overall transaction approval rates.
