We’re seeking a dynamic professional to join our growing team as a Negotiation & Client Success Manager to lead cost-reduction negotiations and manage relationships with clients and processors alike.
About the Role
In this key role, you will leverage your in-depth knowledge of the credit card processing industry and supply chain/vendor relations to lead negotiations that deliver measurable results for our clients. This is a high-impact, client-facing position where you will act as both a trusted advisor and skilled negotiator.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Management:
- Build strong relationships with clients to understand their current payment systems, challenges, and goals.
- Guide clients through the negotiation process with confidence and clarity, adhering to VeriFee’s established protocols.
- Communicate progress, share insights, and celebrate wins with clients.
- Negotiations:
- Conduct cost-reduction negotiations directly with credit card processors, acquirers, ISOs, and other payment service providers.
- Resolve processor billing errors and hunt down money owed to clients.
- Partner with RevOps and other internal teams to ensure seamless communication and execution.
- Data Management:
- Use VeriFee’s internal tools to analyze client data, monitor processor pricing changes, and publish findings to alert relevant stakeholders.
- Follow up monthly with processors to ensure compliance with negotiated terms and address any pricing discrepancies.
- Reporting & Follow-Up:
- Track and document negotiation outcomes, billing adjustments, and client savings metrics.
- Act as the liaison between clients and processors to maintain long-term savings and satisfaction.
- Develop and improve on processes, leveraging tech to streamline efficiencies in the role and across the organization.
What We’re Looking For
- Industry Expertise:
- Deep knowledge of the credit card processing industry, including pricing structures, contracts, terms, and the roles of acquirers, ISOs, and payment processors.
- Negotiation Savvy:
- Demonstrated success in high-level negotiations, particularly in supply chain management or vendor relations.
- Client-Centric Approach:
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, client-friendly manner.
- Tech-Driven Problem Solver:
- Proficiency in using analytical tools to monitor trends, identify billing issues, and drive informed decisions.
- Confidence & Communication:
- Skilled communicator comfortable leading calls with clients and processors, and navigating complex conversations to successful outcomes.
- Detail-Oriented Professional:
- A proactive attitude and keen eye for detecting discrepancies in billing or pricing data.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in the credit card processing industry or a related field (pricing, terms, contracts).
- Proven track record in vendor negotiations or supply chain management.
- Strong understanding of payment industry dynamics, billing practices, and processor systems.
- Familiarity with client relationship management (CRM) tools and data-driven platforms.
