Malicious Software (Malware)
Malicious software, commonly referred to as malware, is any software or firmware intentionally designed to harm a computer, network, client, server, or computer network. Without the owner's knowledge or consent, malware infiltrates systems with the intent to compromise the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of data, applications, or the operating system. This type of software can enter a system through numerous seemingly innocuous activities, such as downloading files, opening email attachments, or browsing compromised websites, exploiting vulnerabilities within these systems.
Malware continues to evolve, becoming more sophisticated and harder to detect. Keeping abreast of the latest security measures and maintaining vigilance are essential strategies for protecting systems against the harmful activities of malicious software.
