Aggregator Merchant

An aggregator merchant acts as an intermediary between individual merchants and an acquirer. This type of merchant is contracted by an acquirer to manage various functions that may include processing payments, handling customer data, and managing transactions. By consolidating the transactions of multiple smaller merchants, aggregator merchants simplify the payment process for these merchants who might not be able to directly establish relationships with large acquiring banks or financial institutions. This setup allows smaller merchants to accept various forms of electronic payments without setting up their own merchant accounts with each payment provider.
